GUHSD to Offer Free, Signature Summer Programs for 6-8th Grade Students

For 8th Grade Students
Students will enjoy our signature Summer Academy Programs that will prepare them for the all-important next step – both academically and socially. Morning sessions will begin June 3 and full-day sessions will begin May 28. Students can take advantage of programs like Project SHARP and High School 101, honors algebra and honors geometry. All of these courses are offered in an environment where students receive quality instruction by certified teachers. Many of these programs are offered on one of our nine high school campuses, while other courses can be accessed online. Programs to recover deficient credits will also be available as part of the Summer Academy Programs. To register for the 8th grade program click here.

For 6th & 7th Grade Students
Summer Camps will also be available from June 3 through June 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students will gain opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge all while having fun in these summer camp classes. Coding/Computer Science, Robotics/Engineering, Fire Fighting, Culinary Arts and Sports classes will be provided for students to enjoy. All classes are free, however, space is limited.
