State Testing Dates
Important state testing is coming. All students in grades 3-8 will be testing on school campus. Please check out the dates so your student doesn't miss these important dates. 3rd & 4th Grades: April 8 April 12 & 13 5th & 6th Grade: April 15 & 19 & 20 7th & 8th Grades: April 26 & 27 We need 100% attendance
We are asking for your help in supporting your child’s efforts to perform at his/her best during testing. The following are some suggestions on how you can help as a parent/guardian towards your child’s success:
v Make sure that your child is in school and on time during the testing sessions. Do not plan any doctor or dental appointments on test dates. v See that your child gets his/her regular amount of sleep before the tests and is well rested. v Make sure that your child eats his/her usual breakfast on the day of the test. If your child normally eats breakfast at school, please make sure that he or she is on time so they are able to have breakfast before testing begins. Hunger can detract from a good test performance. v Maintain a pleasant home environment and avoid unnecessary conflicts. v Discuss the importance of testing. Encourage your child to listen carefully to all test-taking directions given by the teacher and to ask questions about any directions that are unclear. v Encourage your child to do his/her best. v Wish your child good luck before he or she leaves for school.
Please keep in mind that it is very important for your child to attend school every day and to be on time. Thank you for your support! |
